What I had planned for the Night Chasers...

I originally intended to draw what I had planned in a short comic but due to the lack of time I'll just post it on a journal.

With the help of and's teams, Katsuo and Joshua return to the present, but before they can get back home Satoshi sees that his brother is back. He didn't want his brother to be with Hana, and so he decided to take her away to convince her to live with him in what remained of their old village by telling her that he saw that some of the 'mons trapped in the past that returned and that they told him Katsuo had been killed.
Katsuo got back home just in time to see him running off with a passed out Hana in his arms.
He left to chase after him and rescue Hana while the kids were ordered to stay back home.

Katsuo eventually catches up to him and they brutally fight each other.
As they fight, Satoshi explains why he burned their village and killed everyone. Revealing his bandaged eye, he said that it was all because of a moment of uncontrollable rage. Everyone thought he was cursed because of his blind eye and either avoided him or made fun of him. Though Katsuo sometimes would defend him, Satoshi still suffered from all the negative treatment. His rage eventually exploded (by then he was already evolved) and he destroyed everything and everyone in his way.
After he calmed down he realized what he had done and fell into a deep depression.
Years later, he found out that some of the villagers survived, his brother and the only 'mon who ever treated him nicely, Hana.
He felt an attraction to her but knew that she actually loved Katsuo, so he planned to somehow take her from him.

Satoshi's strength was superior against Katsuo's and as his brother was about to deliver a final blow that would finish Katsuo's life, Joshua and Snow interfered. Combining their moves the two managed to knock Satoshi out of balance, allowing Katsuo to get back up.
They were at the edge of a path that led to Akemi village and Satoshi was about to fall off. Katsuo aproached him and Satoshi smiles "Now I see that I was truly blind in both of my eyes and not just one... Your whole body might be torn apart, and yet you stand...you stand for her. You deserve her more than I do..."
Afterwards he lets himself fall off the edge.
Katsuo tried to grab a hold of his paw, but it was too late.

Even though he had held a strong grudge against his brother, Katsuo couldn't help but feel grief. There was a moment of silence before he turned around and took Hana in his arms to go back home. Joshua and Snow quietly followed him back home.
Once they where there, Hana woke up. She didn't know what had happened and so Katsuo explained.
She was also saddened by Satoshi's death, despite all he had done.

Some time later, the two decide to return to Akemi Village in order to rebuild it in honor of Satoshi's memory. Snow and Joshua were able to demonstrate that they were responsible and strong enough to take over the team while they were away, so they left The Night Chasers to their care.
